An online wish list has been created in time for Christmas so people can gift items to help keep hospital patients comfortable and happy during their stay.

Each item on Medway Maritime's Amazon wish list has been carefully picked by staff and all items will be delivered directly to the hospital in Gillingham.

The list was launched by the Medway Hospital Charity on Thursday and it is hoped people going online to snap up Black Friday deals will buy an extra gift.

With prices starting at just £1.25, there are a variety of things to buy including playing cards, colouring books and pens for patients on the wards, newborn gift sets for babies, and reward stickers for the children in A&E.

Donna Law, Medway NHS Foundations Trust’s charity and fundraising manager, said: “These gifts will make a huge difference to patients who are in hospital, not just over the festive season but all year round."
