Huge queues formed outside a Home Bargains store as it opened its doors for the first time today.
There had been speculation the discount chain would delay the launch of its Chatham branch amid the coronavirus outbreak.
But crowds of people swarmed to the Horsted Retail Park to grab a bargain this morning.
Many will no doubt have topped up on essentials amid a panic buying frenzy which has seen supermarket shelves stripped bare across Kent this week.
Home Bargains sells everything from fresh food and toiletries to dogs toys and homeware.
