Robbery at Chatham newsagents sparks police investigation

A man has made off with hundreds of pounds in cash after robbing a newsagents.
Detectives have launched an investigation after the incident in Salisbury Road, Chatham last night.
Police were called to the store at 9.10pm, following a report that an unknown man had entered the premises and demanded money and cigarettes.
The victim reported that he left with about £310.
Officers are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and are viewing any potential CCTV in the area, but would like anyone who may have seen anything at the time of the incident to get in touch.
