Police report motorist for allegedly doing 109mph on M2 near Rochester

A motorist has been reported for summons after allegedly clocking up 109mph - on their way to a funeral.
The vehicle was spotted by traffic officers this afternoon on the M2 near Rochester.
They followed it, and the average speed was said to be 109mph.
Once stopped, the driver told police they were late for a funeral.
Kent Police Roads said: "Hopefully we have just prevented any more due to this driver. Reported for summons."
