Police and paramedics have been scrambled to an incident near a motorway bridge this afternoon.
An air ambulance also landed on grassland near the Cineworld Cinema car park in Rochester at about 2.10pm.
Watch: Air ambulance leaves the scene
Ambulances and police cars are in the car park at Medway Valley Leisure Park, which is adjacent to the Medway Bridge.
The air ambulance has since left the scene.
Police and the ambulance service have been asked for comment.
Air ambulance spokesman Rich Airey confirmed crews had attended "a serious incident on the M2 this afternoon near Medway Valley Leisure Park" but said no further details were available at the moment.
Pat Price, 75, told KentOnline: "I saw the helicopter circle a few times and thought there was something happening on the motorway or in the river.
"When I got here, I saw it near the railway line.
"It landed and it has been here for about 30 minutes."
More as it comes.
