Invicta Dynamos finally go face-to-face with title rivals Chelmsford Chieftains in the first of two huge games in a week in ENIHL Division 1 South.

Going in to Sunday’s game in Essex, the Mos have won 15 of 16 league games and lie four points clear of the stuttering Chieftains who drew their last game 4-4 at Oxford and also lost the previous weekend at Cardiff.

The clash of the top-two has been long-awaited, with this and the return fixture at Gillingham next Sunday expected to go a long way towards deciding who wins the division.

However, Mos head coach Kevin Parrish insisted: "The title will not be won or lost this weekend or next. It is a massive game and a top of the table game but we are just looking at it as another match.

"Apparently Chelmsford have been printing posters calling the game ‘Judgement Day’ and some of their players I have spoken to think they have been looking ahead at this game and maybe that’s why they’ve lost points."

He added: "This is not our Judgement Day just yet – after Christmas we have Isle of Wight, Chelmsford and Cardiff when there are plenty of points to win or lose.

"Even if we lose on Sunday, I’m confident we can hype it up and win in front of our home fans next week. We are the team to beat in our league."

"It will be a tough, physical game and will be quick. I am looking forward to it."

Dynamos’ preparations for Sunday’s 6.30pm face-off have been hit by flu this week with Elliot Andrews and Andy Smith suffering.
