Invicta Dynamos beaten by Romford Raiders in South East Trophy
11:23, 17 September 2012
Invicta Dynamos suffered their second successive South East Trophy defeat with a 4-2 loss at Romford Raiders on Saturday.
Having gone down 7-4 to Wightlink Raiders a week earlier, the Mos were 2-0 down to Romford inside 14 minutes when Ryan Giles and Matt Turner netted in quick succession.
Just one goal was scored in the second period and it went the way of the visitors, Callum Best on target to reduce the arrears.
However, that was as close as the Dynamos came to a comeback. Billy Phillips made it 3-1 on 52 minutes and Juraj Huska added a fourth Raiders goal three minutes later.
Grant Baxter pulled one back for Invicta almost immediately but his goal was no more than a consolation.
The Mos return to action on Sunday when they host Cardiff Devils in NIHL South Division 1.
