Invicta Dynamos bounce back from Streatham Redskins loss to defeat Wightlink Raiders
08:51, 12 March 2012
After suffering a surprise 4-3 loss to bottom club Streatham Redskins on Saturday, the Invicta Dynamos responded positively 24 hours later with a 4-1 victory over the Wightlink Raiders.
The defeat at the Redskins' new home in Brixton was Dynamos' first reverse in four matches in the ENIHL South Division 1.
Despite having scored 52 times in their three previous games Dynamos were unconvincing in front of goal and the three goals they did score through Ryan Ellis, Justin Noble and Callum Best were not enough to deny the Redskins only their third league win of the season.
Dynamos, however, quickly put their disappointment behind them by overcoming the Raiders in Gillingham on Sunday thanks to goals from Callum Best (2) - pictured - Ryan Ellis and Michael Timms.
His goal was a sweet moment for Timms, as it was his first strike since returning from the knee surgery that has seen him miss much of the campaign.
This Saturday Dynamos take on the Cardiff ENL Devils at Gillingham (5.15pm).
