Invicta Dynamos coach Kevin Parrish unhappy as netminder Andrew Dickson signs for Elite League side Belfast Giants

Invicta Dynamos are on the hunt for a new netminder after youngster Andrew Dickson cancelled his contract to move to an Elite League side.
Dickson has signed for Belfast Giants after cancelling his deal, leaving head coach Kevin Parrish tasked to find another netminder to compete with Andy Moffat for a starting role between the pipes.
Ulsterman Dickson picked up the coach's Player of the Year award in his debut campaign with the Gillingham club after posting a 91.12 save percentage last season, but will return home to Belfast ahead of the new season, with the move sparking an angry response from Parrish.
Parrish said: "I’m very disappointed that Andrew has changed his mind but, naturally, I can also see why he has. He has the chance to not only return home but to play at the highest possible level over here and he couldn’t really turn that down."
He added: "What I am unhappy about however, is the way Belfast have gone about their business. They were aware that Andrew had agreed terms in Gillingham but still pursued him regardless.
"I think this shows a total lack of respect towards our club and I would have expected better from such a well-standing Elite League outfit.”
Parrish added: "I’m now on the hunt for another goalie and, with the season just around the corner, this is not the ideal time to be looking for someone to fill such an important position.
"Most players have already signed to teams for the new season and we now have a very short time frame in which to work but I will be doing my best to find a suitable replacement.”
