Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish furious after first defeat of the season

Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish tore into his players after their shock 4-3 defeat at Bracknell Hornets on Saturday ended a run of nine consecutive wins.
Two goals from Nicky Lewis and another from Jack Tarczycki put Invicta 3-2 ahead in the final period against a team the Mos had beaten 5-1 at home just three weeks earlier.
However, the Hornets levelled and then won it with a fluke goal off the boards to leave Invicta facing their first regular season defeat since March.
Parrish (pictured) said: "I think we believed our own hype. I think the players thought we could go there, pull on the shirt and win on talent alone without working for it. You just can’t do that.
"Hopefully we won’t have any more slip-ups but I have told the players that if something like that happens again then I am going to be reviewing contracts. I can take losing but it is the manner of the defeat that is unacceptable."
The Mos bounced back with a resounding 11-2 win against ENIHL Division 1 South basement-boys Peterborough Islanders at Gillingham Ice Bowl the following day.
Parrish said: "The players came out flying on Sunday. It was the response that I wanted, that the fans wanted, that everyone wanted. They were very professional."
He added: "It’s not all doom and gloom. We have only lost one game. We’re still top. We’ll now look at getting the job done against Milton Keynes on Sunday."
Face-off for Sunday’s game at the Ice Bowl is at 5.15pm.
