Invicta Dynamos in heavy loss to Chelmsford Chieftains despite strong win over Milton Keynes Thunder 24 hours earlier

A mixed weekend for Invicta Dynamos in NIHL South Division 1 ended in disappointment as they crashed to a 7-1 defeat at Chelmsford Chieftains on Sunday.
The Mos thrashed Milton Keynes Thunder 12-0 on Saturday night but it was a different tale in Essex the following day.
There was nothing to separate the sides as the first period ended scoreless.
However, Michael Ranby and Cameron Bartlett struck to put Chelmsford 2-0 up before Callum Fowler, pictured, pulled a goal back for the visitors.
It was one-way traffic in the third period as the Chieftains netted five times in 18 minutes. Julius Sinkovic and James Ayling scored two goals each and Darren Brown completed the rout.
The defeat was Invicta’s third against Chelmsford in four meetings so far this season.
