Forward Nolan Boike scored twice on his Invicta Dynamos debut as the Mos ran out 8-1 winners at Milton Keynes Thunder on Saturday.
The Mos were missing AJ Smith and Mark Williams but new signing Boike sent them in 1-0 ahead at the first buzzer and Laurence Billing and Boike's second made it 3-0 at the end of the second period.
In the final period Nicky Lewis and Andy Smith put the game beyond doubt with two goals in two minutes and despite a reply from the Thunder, Peter Vaisanen made it six and Smith grabbed his second before Vaisanen completed the scoring.
The Mos remain a point clear of Chelmsford Chieftains at the top of English National Ice Hockey League Division 1 South.
