Invicta Dynamos returned from the festive break with a defeat and victory over the weekend in English Ice Hockey League Division 1 South.
The Mos were beaten 7-4 at Wightlink Raiders on Saturday but bounced back on home soil with a 6-4 victory over Milton Keynes Thunder at the Silver Blades in Gillingham.
Justin Noble (pictured) scored three goals in man-of-the-match performance against Milton Keynes. The Canadian opened the scoring after just three minutes although the lead was cancelled out in just 30.
Mos retook the lead through Andy Smith but Thunder equalised again and went 3-2 ahead in the second period. Dynamos responded with goals from Smith, Noble and Ryan Ellis.
Milton Keynes cut the lead to 5-4, but in the third period Mos secured the victory when Noble completed his hat-trick with a backhand shot beyond the reach of the keeper
On Saturday, the Dynamos were unable to recover from a 3-1 deficit in the first period as the Isle of Wight Raiders made better use of their smaller ice pad. Mos' goals came from from Ellis (2), Noble and Jack Tarczycki, while Daniel Fudger took their man-of-the-match honours.
