Invicta Dynamos searching for netminder after Ben Hunt u-turn
10:48, 29 August 2011
Invicta Dynamos head coach Kevin Parrish is again looking for another netminder just a few days before the start of the new season after Ben Hunt changed his mind about moving to Gillingham.
Parrish (pictured) had lined up the Telford Titans goalie as back-up for Andy Moffatt following Andrew Dickson's move to Belfast, but Hunt has now informed Parrish that he has changed his mind about joining Invicta.
The Dynamos coach, whose side begin ENIHL South Division 1 campaign at Bracknell Hornets on Saturday, said: “Obviously this is far from ideal for the club but we have to be sympathetic to Ben’s situation and we understand that he will no longer be joining us at the Dynamos for personal reasons.
"Unfortunately these situations sometimes arise, especially in hockey at this level, but I will once again be doing my utmost to secure a suitable replacement.”
Hunt’s change of heart sees the Dynamos’ roster temporarily fall to 18 once again with the squad now comprising of one netminder, six defencemen and 11 forwards.
