Invicta Dynamos' run of five straight wins ended with defeat at the league leaders Chelmsford Chieftains on Sunday.
Chieftains were rocked early on as the Mos twice led the NIHL South Division 1 game but the hosts won 7-3.
The Mos went ahead through Justin Noble with just over a minute gone and, despite Chelmsford equalising, Callum Fowler put the Mos 2-1 up.
Three Chelmsford goals in the second half saw the hosts pull 4-2 ahead and three more strikes in the final session eased them home. The defeat saw Invicta stay fourth.
