Two dealers who videoed themselves rapping about their crimes have been jailed.
The pair, both 18, had videoed themselves rapping about being dealers and other videos found on their phones even showed them preparing drugs for sale within a flat in Chatham.
Caleb Umeniyora and Tristan Sotange, 18 of Botha Road, Plaistow, were both sentenced to two years and five months in jail after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
The pair were arrested and charged with dealing after a police visited a flat in Boundary Road, in December last year as part of a routine check on someone else.
Umeniyora, of Cotswold Gardens, East Ham, and Sotange, of Botha Road, Plaistow, were jailed at Maidstone Crown Court, on Thursday, April 26.
The court heard how officers found the pair inside the flat and became suspicious why they were there.
They were arrested on suspicion of dealing officers found 43 wraps of heroin and 35 wraps of crack cocaine with a total street value of between £780 and £1,560 there.
Their phones were later searched where videos of them were seen not only rapping about being drug dealers, but there were also videos showing them preparing drugs for sale within the flat.
Both men were subsequently charged with dealing and were both sentenced to two years and five months after pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
Investigating officer DC Rob Hemsley said: "Both men were brazen enough to film themselves with the drugs as well as rapping about being drug dealers but ultimately these videos have brought about their downfall.
"Umeniyora and Sotonge had no choice but to plead guilty due to the evidence officers had secured against them.
"They targeted a vulnerable resident in order to use their flat as a base from where they could do drug deals and didn’t care about the impact this had on the victim."
