The jury in the Harjit Chaggar trial have re-visited the former Sani Globe store where the grandmother was found dead.

It is the second time the men and women have been to see the site where the pensioner was found dead in September last year.

The group, along with legal representatives and judge Adele Williams QC were first shown around the shop, in Luton Road, two days after the trial started on Thursday, March 18.

They were shown around the store, which is now under new management and renamed the Chatham Food Centre Cash and Carry.

The men and women, who were escorted by police, also retraced the last known steps of the 69-year-old.

It is understood the group asked Judge Williams if they could revisit the site again today as the six-week trial draws to a close.

They arrived by 16-seater minibus this morning at about 10.30am and entered the store via its back entrance. The store was closed during the half-hour visit.

Mrs Chaggar, of Hillside Road, Chatham, was discovered at the store on September 14 last year.
