People who saw the start of an incident which ended with a glass counter being smashed in a takeaway are being asked to come forward.
Police are appealing for a man and a woman who were in the Rain Grill on Rainham High Street on Saturday to come forward as they may be able to help officers with their enquiries.
Officers were called to the takeaway at about 11.45pm after they received reports that two men were inside and one, who was acting aggressively towards staff, then smashed the glass counter.
PC Edward Jackson said: “We believe there were two other people, a man and a woman, inside the kebab shop just before the incident happened.
“They left the shop as the incident unfolded, however, I would like them to come forward as I believe that they may be able to help with our enquiries.”
If you were in the shop call PC Jackson on 01634 792144. Alternatively call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
A 23-year-old Gillingham man and a 22-year-old man from Rochester have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and are currently on police bail until, Tuesday, July 13.
