Man, 78, airlifted to hospital with facial injuries after incident in Chatham

A 78-year-old man was airlifted to a major head injuries unit after suffering facial injuries in Chatham.
The incident happened at 10.25am yesterday in the town. The man was attended to by ambulance crews who called on the Kent Air Ambulance for help.
The helicopter landed after a 14-minute flight and the victim was flown to the major trauma unit at Kings College Hospital, London.
It is not known how his injuries occurred, though he may have suffered a fall.
