A man was chased by a police helicopter after to failing to stop for officers.
Police were called at 8.55pm last night to reports of a disturbance in Tamar Drive, Rochester, involving a man and woman known to each other.
After making inquiries, officers travelled to the Cliffe area, where they located a car connected to the incident.
After failing to stop, it was pursued with assistance from a National Police Air Service helicopter.
A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and driving offences, and remains in custody.
Police confirmed on Monday (June 17) that the suspect has been bailed, pending further enquiries until Wednesday, July 3.
