A man has been charged with several motoring offences after a car failed to stop for police.
Mark Dallas, 23, has been charged with dangerous driving, driving without a licence and without insurance, after police tried to stop the vehicle in Chatham.
Officers were in the town yesterday, when they say the car failed to stop for police when requested it should do so.
Dallas, of Whyman Avenue, in the town was arrested and later charged with the motoring offences.
Police followed the car and when it failed to stop it drove off and then collided with an electricity box on Walderslade Road, Chatham.
No one was injured and he was detained shortly after.
He was also charged with unrelated offences of criminal damage and harassment.
Dallas appeared before magistrates in Medway and was remanded in custody to appear before Maidstone Crown Court today.
