A man has been charged with burglary after a break-in at a boat club.
The incident happened overnight near the Esplanade, Rochester, on Saturday.
The man was in the area when police arrived.
Police arrested him at around 2am.
Mark Hutton, 27 of Maidstone Road, Chatham, was charged yesterday with burglary and criminal damage.
He was bailed and is due before Medway Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, January 8.
Hutton was in Medway Magistrates court yesterday for two separate incidents including, burglary, criminal damage, harassment and driving without a licence.
He was bailed and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court for sentencing.
The Messenger has asked which boat club was targeted but police say they do not have the information at this time.
Rochester Cruising Club has refused to comment.
The Messenger is still trying to contact Medway Rowing Club.
