Man charged after class A drugs found in safe in Station Road, Strood

A man has been charged after large amounts of cocaine and heroin were found locked in a safe inside a property.
Officers from the county lines and gangs team searched a house in Station Road, Strood yesterday.
They discovered a locked safe inside a cupboard and in a further search they found a key.
Inside there were multiple wraps of cocaine along with compressed blocks of heroin.
A man and a woman were both arrested and taken into custody.
Edwin Aghatise, of Station Road, Strood was later charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply and possession of heroin with intent to supply.
The 32-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
A woman in her 20s, also from Strood, was released pending further investigation.
