Chatham man charged after house burglary, with camera and jewellery stolen

A 38-year-old man has been charged following a burglary in Chatham.
James Hynd, of Shipwrights Avenue, has been charged with one count of burglary after a report that a property had been broken into in Newnham Street between 10am and 2pm on Wednesday, March 14.
The back door of the house was broken to gain entry, and items taken from within included jewellery and a camera.
Investigating officers attended the scene on Thursday, March 15 and arrest a man already known to them nearby.
Items missing from the house were found in a bin nearby.
James Hynd, after his arrest, was charged and appeared in court on Friday, March 16.
Mr Hynd was subsequently recalled to prison on unrelated offences and is due to now appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, April 13.
