Man charged after officers attacked in Abbey Road, Strood

A man has been charged after two police officers were assaulted.
Officers were called to a disturbance in Abbey Road, Strood, at around 9.50pm on Wednesday, March 8.
After arriving the scene, two constables were allegedly assaulted by a man and were taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Both have since been discharged and the suspect, Adam Warr, was found in Chatham High Street the following day.
Warr, of no fixed address, was arrested and later charged with actual bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker.
He was also charged with a count of racially aggravated public order in relation to a separate incident on Tuesday, March 7.
For this offence, the 37-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 10 and will next appear before the same court tomorrow.
He is set to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on April 5 for the alleged assault of two officers.
