Man to go to crown court after attempted burglary of two homes in Rainham

A man will be going to crown court after reports of a burglar breaking into two houses.
One house in The Willows, Rainham, was left damaged after a man allegedly attempted to break in on Friday, October 12.
During the second incident at a home in Moor Street on Saturday October, 20, the offender was interrupted by the victim.
He fled the property and ran in the direction of Otterham Quay Lane, Rainham.
Richard Barham, 35 of Rainham High Street, was arrested on Tuesday, October 23 after he was identified as a suspect for two offences that had taken place earlier in the month.
He was charged with both offences and remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
At the hearing he was remanded in custody and will next appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Thursday 22 November 2018.
