Man charged with assault of a police officer at Chatham railway station

A 27-year-old man has been charged with the assault of an emergency worker.
British Transport Police were called at 4.20am on Friday, to Chatham railway station following a report of criminal damage where a window at the station had been smashed.
Officers attended and arrested a man on suspicion of the offence.
While in custody he is reported to have assaulted an officer.
Christopher Godfrey Jull, of Speedwell Avenue in Chatham, has since been charged with criminal damage and assaulting an emergency worker.
He is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, May 26.
