Man found in possession of heroin in New Road Chatham

A man has been charged with drug offences after police spotted him behaving suspiciously.
Police officers were on patrol on Tuesday, August 28, in New Road Chatham when they picked up on Sherief Halim-Benelbaida behaviour.
He was then searched and the officers uncovered a quantity of suspected Class A drugs
The 20-year-old was then arrested and remanded in custody.
He was charged with possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 29 August..
Halim-Benelbaida pleaded guilty to both offences and was released on conditional bail to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on an undetermined date.
