Clive Butcher charged with mugging elderly woman in Twydall

A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court on robbery charges after an 86-year-old woman was mugged.
Clive Butcher, 38, of no fixed address, is said to have come up behind the lady, pushed her and then stole her purse.
The incident took place in Waltham Road in Twydall, Gillingham, on the morning of Monday October, 8.
Clive Butcher was arrested on suspicion of robbery on Tuesday, October 16.
He has since been charged with the offence and appeared in Medway Magistrates Court yesterday.
Butcher was remanded in custody and will be appearing at Maidstone Crown Court for the offence.
