Man cut from car after a head-on collision on the A2 at Moors Street, Rainham this afternoon

A man had to be cut from his car by firefighters after a head-on collision on the A2 in Rainham this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Moors Street, Rainham at 2.40pm after two cars were involved in a crash.
Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to cut the man from his car. He was taken to hospital with possible neck and spinal injuries.
A woman in the other vehicle suffered facial injuries.
Both were taken to hospital.
A spokesman for Kent Police said the injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The road was closed until 4:25pm whilst the vehicles were recovered.
