Police tape off alleyway near Aldi, Duncan Road, Gillingham and man detained under mental health act

A man was detained under the mental health act after a disturbance near a busy supermarket which led to police taping off an alleyway.
A passer-by told KentOnline they had seen police officers and a van near the alleyway by Aldi in Gillingham yesterday morning.
Today, a police spokesman said they will not be making any further enquiries into the incident.
Yesterday morning, a police spokesman said: "Officers are currently at a residential address in Duncan Road, Gillingham following a report of a disturbance at 9.03am.
"The South East Coast Ambulance service is also in attendance. One man has been detained under the mental health act."
Officers left the scene in the early afternoon.
