Man dies after emergency services called to Wickes store in New Cut, Chatham

A man has died after falling ill at the Wickes store in Chatham.
Three police cars, two ambulance vehicles and a fire engine were called to the site in New Cut after the man fell ill.
Crews tried to revive the man, who was in his 70s, but he died at the scene.

Police say they were called shortly after 11am, and the store was closed.
Wickes, which sells home improvement products for trade and DIY, has been contacted for a comment.
Firefighters say they were called out to help ambulance teams.
A spokesman for police said: “Kent Police was called at 11.05am to a report of a man falling ill at a business in New Cut, Chatham.
“Officers are currently at the scene alongside the South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Kent Fire and Rescue Service.”
A spokesman for the ambulance service added: "We were called to the store just before 11am to reports a man had collapsed.
"We sent one ambulance crew and two paramedic cars and we were joined by a co-response team from Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
"Attempts were made to resuscitate the man but sadly these attempts were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene."
