Body of man discovered at block of Chatham flats in Bryant Street

A man has been found dead at a block of flats in Chatham.
Officers were called to the high-rise in Bryant Street where the body was recovered.
Police cars and an ambulance were said to be parked outside the property.
A woman, who did not wish to be named, said "I saw the body being carried out while waiting for the lift...my daughter was stood next to me it was horrible".
She added her friend, who lived in a flat upstairs in Regents Court, told her officers had called round to ask if neighbours had "heard any commotion".
Police confirmed their attendance at the block of flats where they say the body of a man has been recovered.
Spokesman for the force, Vicki Foster, said: "Kent Police received a report for the concern of the welfare of a man inside a property in Bryant Street, Chatham at around 2.47pm on December 9.
"Officers attended and the body of a man was found deceased."
Paramedics also attended and police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
The next of kin has been informed and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
