Man found dead in Vinall Park, Twydall, named as Colin Basden

A man found dead in a park in Gillingham has been named as Colin Basden.
Officers were called to Vinall Park in Twydall evening, after the body was discovered by a woman living nearby.
Mr Basden was 42 and came from Gillingham.
It is understood the neighbour called in the police who also sent forensic officers to the site to carry out investigations.
The park, off Broadway and Locarno Avenue, is surrounded by homes and has a children’s play park at one end near Geneva Avenue. It is popular with dog walkers.
The body was found about 8.15pm on Monday October 19 and officers are preparing a report for the coroner. His family have been informed.
A Kent police spokesman said:“The death is not being treated as suspicious and officers are preparing a report for the coroner. Next of kin have been informed.”
