Man hit by a car in Railway Street, Chatham, nowhere to be seen when police arrive

A man who was hit by a car disappeared before police arrived at the scene.
Police were called to the site of the collision between a car and a pedestrian in Railway Street, Chatham, at 10.27pm last night.
SECAmb also attended and a spokesman said: "After an extensive search with Kent Police, the man was not found."
It is believed the man is aged in his 20s.
The driver of the vehicle was still at the scene but the pedestrian had left.
