Harry Agyn arrested by armed police in Canterbury Street, Gillingham

A 44-year-old man has appeared in court after he was arrested by armed police on Boxing Day.
Harry Agyn was detained in Canterbury Street, Gillingham, at around 10pm.
Police were called over allegations he had assaulted a man at a private address in nearby Britton Street before leaving, holding a firearm.
He was quickly located by the armed officers and an air pistol is reported to have been seized.
The Britton Street resident was later charged with common assault and possessing an imitation firearm in a public place.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
At the hearing he was released on bail to attend Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on March 8.
