James Keeler, of Trafalgar Street, Gillingham in court after alleged 'hit-and-run' in the town

A man has appeared in court after an alleged hit-and-run in the Towns on Friday, June 1.
The incident, which happened in Trafalgar Street, Gillingham, saw a man in his 60s suffer pelvic injuries.
It is alleged a car was driven intentionally at the man before it made off from the scene.
Police and paramedics were called out to the road shortly before 6.30pm and a motorist was later arrested nearby.
The injured man, who is thought to live in the road, was taken to hospital for treatment.
The road was closed for some time while police carried out their inquires.
Officers sent to the area later stopped a car in Jeffrey Street, in the town and arrested a man on suspicion of assault.
James Keeler, 58, of Trafalgar Street in Gillingham, was charged with, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, caused bodily harm by furious driving and dangerous driving.
He appeared before magistrates in Medway on Monday, June 4 and his case was sent to Maidstone Crown Court to be dealt with.
Keeler, who was granted bail, is next due to appear there on Monday, July 2.
