Pedestrian injured in hit and run on Frindsbury Hill, Strood

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being injured in a hit and run.
The man was injured in the incident on Frindsbury Hill in Strood earlier this afternoon.
Police were called to the scene at 3.40pm but the car involved is reported to have left the scene before officers arrived.
The pedestrian was treated by paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service and was due to be taken to a local hospital.
The road was closed while officers and paramedics dealt with the crash but was due to reopened around 4.45pm.
