Man injured while unloading lorry in Maidstone Road, Chatham

A man was taken to hospital after being injured while unloading a lorry.
Emergency crews were called to reports that a man suffered a facial injury in Maidstone Road, Chatham, this morning.
Police cordoned off a large part of Maidstone Road after the accident
The accident happened at about 11.30am.
Police attended with ambulance crews.
The injured man was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to Medway hospital.
Police had left the scene by 2.55pm but say inquiries into the incident are continuing.
A statement from haulage firm Wincanton said: "The health and safety of our people, our customers and the general public is our number one priority. We have been made aware of an incident with one of our colleagues in Chatham yesterday. A full investigation is underway as a matter of urgency to understand what happened.”
The Health and Safety Executive confirmed they had been made aware of the incident by Kent Police.
