Gillingham: Man on crutches assaulted

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a man on crutches was assaulted and suffered a fractured leg.
The altercation was reported between the victim and another man in Gillingham High Street, opposite the train station, at 9pm on Saturday.
The victim is thought to have been pushed over and then repeatedly struck with one of his crutches.
During the incident a second man, who was sitting close-by, was also struck with the crutch, possibly by accident.
Both were taken to hospital for treatment and have now been discharged.
The man who reported he had been pushed over suffered a fractured thigh bone. The second man was treated for a cut to his head.
Officers investigating the incident have carried out forensic inquiries and are continuing to review any CCTV opportunities.
An image has now been released of a man police would like to speak to in connection with the investigation.
