Man arrested after riot police called to Burrstock Way in Rainham released without charge

No further action will be taken against a man who was arrested after riot police descended on a residential street.
Officers were called after allegations of threats and a car being damaged in Burrstock Way, Rainham, at around 7pm on Saturday.
Multiple police officers, some in riot gear, attended and arrested a man on suspicion of affray and criminal damage.
He was kept in custody while inquires continued but has since been released without charge.
This afternoon, a police spokesman confirmed he will not face any further action.
Several police vehicles, including vans, were seen parked in Ten Acre Way and Burrstock Way.
Firefighters say they were called to the scene to assist the force.
