Man released without charge after attack in Chatham High Street

A man who was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been released without charge.
Officers were called to the High Street at 5.57pm, opposite the White Lion pub on Thursday, June 28.
They found a man with a serious injury consistent with a stab wound.
He was taken to a London hospital in a serious condition but has since been discharged.
The 38-year-old was arrested on July 3 and released on bail until yesterday, where he was released without charge.
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is investigating the circumstances and are keen to hear from any witnesses that are yet to contact Kent Police.
