Chatham: man seriously injured after being hit by car

A pedestrian has been taken to a London hospital with serious injuries following an accident in Chatham this morning.
A section of New Road near the junction of Gibraltar Hill was closed for around five hours while an investigation was carried out.
The collision between the man and a vehicle happened at 6.47am.
