Firefighters had to cut the roof off a car to rescue an injured man following a three car crash on the M2 last night.
The man, who was complaining of head and knee pain, was placed on a spinal board and treated at the scene. He was then taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.
The crash happened just before 10pm last night on the London bound carriageway between junctions three and two, near Rochester motorway bridge.
Lanes closures were put in place while emergency services responded to the incident. The carriageway was fully open at around 12.20am.
No one else was thought to have been injured in the incident.
Firefighters were also called to an abandoned moped which had been set alight in the pedestrian underpass in Strood near Rochester Bridge at 1.20am. The vehicle was completely burnt out. Police were informed.
