Man taken to hospital with head injuries after being beaten and robbed in a Chatham alleyway

A man has received hospital treatment after being beaten and robbed in an alleyway.
The victim, who is in his 50s, is reported to have sustained head injuries during the assault in Chatham and does not recall what happened.
He was attacked in a pathway between Luton Road and Magpie Hall Road, near the Luton Arches roundabout, between 11.30pm and midnight last night.
It is believed his attacker may have stolen a number of items from him.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment to the injuries to his head and face, but has since been discharged.
Police describe the suspect as a man in his 40s, wearing black trousers, a black coat, black Nike trainers and a red baseball cap.
