Firefighters used cutting equipment to free a man trapped in a car after a two-vehicle crash which closed one lane of a motorway for several hours.
The hard shoulder and one lane of the M2 was closed yesterday morning while emergency services dealt with the accident on the London bound carriageway between junction 5 for Sittingbourne and junction 4 for Gillingham.
A police spokesman said: "Police were called to the M2 between junctions 5 and 4 london bound following a report of a two car collision.
"SECAS were called to treat a male for injuries described as minor. Officers are on scene."
The road reopened around 11.30am.
