A rape suspect is on the run and has links to Kent.
Halwest Muradi, who is charged with rape, attempted rape and sexual assault, has breached his bail conditions.
He is from Colchester but has links to Rochester and now Essex Police has launched a manhunt.
Muradi appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on July 31 and was bailed until his next court date.
But he has now breached one of his bail conditions - to remain at his home address between certain times.
He is 5ft 7ins, of medium build, has short, dark straight hair and is of Iranian descent.
Senior investigating officer, Det Ch Insp Stuart Truss, said: "It’s of the utmost importance that we find Halwest Muradi and speak to him about this alleged breach.
"Anyone who has seen him is asked to call us immediately.
"We believe he may have links to Rochester in Kent and Swansea, but he could still be in Essex and we would urge anyone with information about his whereabouts to reach out to us."
If you have any information please call 101 and quote Operation Oslo or speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
