Man's body pulled from River Medway in Rochester

A man has been pulled from the River Medway.
Police were called to the Esplanade in Rochester at 7pm after reports were made that a body had been seen.
Emergency services lined The Esplanade as the body of a man was pulled from the River Medway
Officers and paramedics called the Coastguard and firefighters to assist.
The fire crews were on the scene until just after 8pm.
The police helicopter was also used for the search.
A man's body was later pulled from the river.
Initially officers were sent to Medway Bridge Marina, but it seems the body was located nearer Rochester Cruising Club.
Inquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.
