Rochester's Stake Lane named as one of 30 Spookiest Street names in Britain

Rochester’s Stake Lane has been named one of the 30 Spookiest Streets in Britain, according to HouseSimple.com.
In the build-up to Halloween on Tuesday, the online estate agents highlighted lack of house sales on the streets.
No houses have been sold on Halling’s Stake Lane in the last year and just six sales have occurred in the last decade.
A notable omission from the list of evil avenues is Revenge Road in Chatham, despite Southsea’s Revenge Close making the cut.
Although not a street name, Medway’s Allhallows on the Hoo Peninsula could rival Stake Lane and Revenge Road as Medway’s spookiest place name.
The list includes other horrible highways such as Camberwell’s Crucifix Lane, Bridport’s Hell Lane and Vampire Road in Louth.
