Dan Caprice, the England Sevens rugby player from Medway, has joined French giants Biarritz.
The 21-year-old wing, a former Chatham Grammar School pupil, has signed a two-year deal to play in the Top 14 and Heineken Cup.
Caprice (pictured) said: "I’m excited about the move and looking forward to it. It was a hard decision to make but I’d always wanted to play in France.
"Biarritz are one of the top teams in Europe and you only have to look at the players there to see that the chance to train day-in, day-out with them is great."
Caprice began playing rugby with Medway RFC in Rochester at the age of eight.
He switched to Maidstone RFC three seasons later and figured in their county cup winning age group sides and also represented Kent from under-15 to under-18 level,
He then had a spell with Saracens before joining Blackheath in 2009 and was selected for the England Sevens squad in the same year.
Last season he impressed during the HSBC Sevens World Series, helping England to win the Dubai leg and also represented England at the Commonwealth Games.
